My first bridge was one of those classic Pokopia moments where something looks beautiful before you actually live with it. In screenshots it made the whole district look finished. In practice it pushed foot traffic into a cramped corner, made nearby decoration feel busier, and turned a calm entry path into a bottleneck.

Now I am trying to build a rule for myself: if I cannot describe what the bridge is fixing in one sentence, it probably does not need to exist yet. I would rather earn the bridge by discovering a real need than force the scene to match a mental postcard.
